bicycles vs cars

What is the reason for a bike path?

Why did we bother with cycle lanes?

Now isn’t an “I Hate” campaign, it’s really a concern for the welfare of cyclists. As a car user, I must point out that I have certainly used trains, bicycles but predominantly I have used cars to get me to where I want to be. That is my right; I bought the road tax for that journey. I also legalize myself in case the unfortunate situation happens where I may crash into a fellow driver. This obligation is called as car insurance, another heavy price that I must to pay to use our roadways.

But where am I going with all this? You’ve got it in one you've guessed it. Cyclists! I shall say it again I am in know way the two wheel Stone Age gizmo. I am completely aware that it saves these people money and also assists in maintaining their fitness. In this eco earth we live one day I may have to do my bit and mount a bike, and We paid millions in this country to build bicycle tracks over bridges, along ring roads and under bypasses. This was supposed to be cash spent wisely, all the trucks on the road and all the bikes on the bike lane. But But wait though, it is not because in this stupid land we have no law that punishes bike riders who go out of their way in not riding along the cycle track. You must have come across them, you just start that commute, their is a bottle neck of traffic and what’s at the front. A lycra clad superhero on a bicycle on the road 4m from the brand new cycle lane. Why does he need to be here? Maybe he feels he has a place on the road because the bike he is on cost more than some peoples used cars. Is the cycle path to smooth and comfortable and he prefers a bit of bumps on the road through his tiny seat. I do not know the answer but If I had to bike to work on route with a busy multi lane road with trucks and buses on it. Believe I’d be on that bicycle track, it’s their so I might as well stay alive.

The cyclist does not pay road tax, so he should not be in my lane slowing me up. He does not pay anyinsurance so if his bike scrapes my motor there isn’t a lot I can do due to the fact that I’m not allowed to go after him in my vehicle when he nips off and jumps onto the scenic bike path. So this leaves us where? It leaves us with my big ask. Cyclists I respect you, I have friends who are amongst you, I have once been you. So please respect me back and ride your bicycle on the bicycle lane, not on the road over the bridge so that all 3 lanes of cars have to all of a sudden fight into justtwo and cause awful queues. Road tax helped pay for your designated paths and I need to see them taken advantage of.
